Jacinta's yoga journey
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
Yoga with Jacinta
Jacinta has completed the Purna Yoga Teacher Training in Auckland, New Zealand in 2013. She also has completed certificates in prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga and mums and bubs yoga in New Zealand. In Jacinta’s classes you can expect to be challenged, to have fun, to relax, to dance, to build up strength and connect with your inner self. She is in love with Vinyasa flow, but not afraid to incorporate other styles in her classes and own practice. Her aim is to create a loving and nourishing atmosphere where students feel welcome and are encouraged to be exactly how they are. She hopes everyone feels welcome in her classes and believes that yoga is for everyone, you only have to find the right teacher and yoga style for you. Jacinta offers active and powerful yoga classes, as well as more passive and nurturing yoga styles like yin yoga and prenatal yoga.
Jacinta's yoga journey
Jacinta’s yoga journey started before she was even born! Her born started teaching prenatal yoga when she was pregnant with Jacinta and her twinsister Pernelle. She had practiced yoga at home for years. Her mother shared the yoga philosophy and ideas with her four children and Jacinta started practicing yoga herself form a young age, curious about her mother’s wisdom and knowledge. Her interest in health, wellness and joy, resulted into a Bachelor and Master in Health Sciences, as well as five trips (working holidays and research internships) to Africa. She also completed Brandon Bay’s Journey Practitioner Programme. This Programme and therapy has helped her intensely to live her life from her heart and to come out of my shell. In 2011 she entered the airplane to New Zealand to follow her heart and to start a life with her Dutch Kiwi man. On the other side of the world, she was challenged to find her roots once again and a home. In a local yoga studio in Auckland, the Yoga Sanctuary, she had found her new yoga place and a yoga teacher training was the logical following step. In Whangarei, north of Auckland, she started her own yoga company with the name: “Yoga Love”. After the birth of her second son, she decided to change her life once again and move back to The Netherlands. Since 2018 she is living in Waalwijk, close to her parents. A beautiful yoga place she has found at Studio MK. And, above all, with her husband and her sons she has found her home.
